Dimension Fine Art Services was founded in 2025 by Daniel Schmid, JP Culligan, and Gerald Joe. Recognizing a growing need for clear communication and a more personalized client experience, our team set out to create a company that values responsiveness and attention to detail as highly as technical skill. Dimension aims to build on its deep industry expertise and emerge as a recognized authority in Chicagoland’s art handling community.
Museum-quality care delivered with consistency and precision.
At Dimension, we understand that every object holds meaning and value. Our standards and practices are shaped by 20+ years of hands-on experience in the field, managing high-value artworks and artifacts from some of the world’s most prestigious collections.
Our team develops tailored solutions to complex logistical challenges.
Whether you require expert crating, installation, rigging, climate-controlled storage, or international shipping, we have the knowledge and resources to ensure the safety and integrity of your collection.
Crating & Custom Fabrication
Every object is unique, and we design each crate accordingly. From simple, single-use containers to museum-grade builds crafted for repeated travel, our crates are tailored to protect your artwork at every stage of its journey.
Packing & Installation
From delicate artworks to large-scale installations, we pack and install objects of all kinds with exceptional care. Our technicians work seamlessly in private homes, galleries, and public spaces, ensuring every project is completed safely, precisely, and to the highest professional standard.
Transportation & Shipping
Our fleet features climate-controlled vehicles with air-ride suspension and lift gates for safe handling at every stage of transit. Dimension provides local and regional transportation, and partners with a network of specialized fine art carriers to manage shipments across the country and around the world.
Climate-Controlled Storage
Located just outside the heart of downtown Chicago, our secure, climate-controlled facility provides an ideal environment for the preservation of fine art and valuable objects. We accommodate both short- and long-term storage with the same high standards of care and security.
