The photographs in “A Southern Diary” are her response to a long-ago question about when she would be coming home. For the past few years, she has been spending more time in the rural and small town South, photographing places and people that define the region for her, making work in East Texas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia. She is especially interested in places that retain the remnants of history. What she first considered to be the project of a summer has become a continuing journey.
\r\n\r\n
Also showing work in September are Lisa Beard, Alexa Frangos, Mark Kaufman and Christopher Schneberger.
\r\n","name":"Exhibitions","organization_type_id":"1","district_id":"6","telephone":"+12242001155","website":"http://www.perspectivegallery.org","email":"perspectivephotogallery@gmail.com","hours":"Th-Sa 12-6; Su 12-5","location":"1310 Chicago Ave. Evanston, IL 60201","display_location":"1310 Chicago Ave. Evanston, IL 60201","latitude":"42.041619","longitude":"-87.680832","contact":"Doug Haight, President, Board of Dir.","sub_district_id":"25","promoted_at":"2018-10-24T21:19:48.559Z","optional_sort_name":"","paid":true,"position":2,"category_name":"Exhibitions","orgname":"Perspective Photo Gallery","orgslug":"perspective-photo-gallery","image":null}
