Nestled in the heart of West Town and established in 2011, Chicago Truborn is a sanctuary for both emerging and established artists, specializing in street/graffiti/pop art. Unconventional and welcoming, this gallery has become synonymous with showcasing affordable art and creating an atmosphere where art collectors and novices alike can explore and indulge.
Dubbed “Chicago’s Best Gallery”, Chicago Truborn further distinguishes itself through two site-specific murals accompanying every new exhibition. The rotating murals breathe life into the space, immersing viewers in a dynamic encounter with each visit. This distinctive approach not only transforms the space but also empowers artists to express their vision - transcending the constraints of traditional galleries and canvas works.
As the gallery director and public art specialist, Sara Dulkin’s influence extends far beyond the gallery’s walls. Sara has spearheaded multiple large-scale mural projects across Chicagoland such as the Wabash Arts Corridor, the West Town Public Arts Initiative, and Tri-Taylor’s iconic “Chicago’s Most Instagrammable Alley.”
Enjoying and collecting artwork is for EVERYONE. Come in, ask questions, take pictures and #BecomeAcollector

A dozen years later...the answer has many components but it always comes back to you. YOU are the how, the why, and everything in between. Owning a small business is certainly not for the timid but even as a solo entrepreneur - it's clear to me that I can not do what I do without you.
The artists and the collectors who keep our doors open are so very special to me. Each one of you have made an impact here : through likes, follows, word of mouth, in store visits and of course every purchase - no matter how big or small. It all adds up and it's the reason Chicago Truborn still stands.
Let's celebrate!
Chicago Truborn's 12 year anniversary show is all about good energy: works that make people smile, laugh, or feel a little lighter. Messages that inspire hope or motivate people to elevate and keep going. Phrases that empower and enlighten! In a time when the world feels heavy, I’m deeply grateful to have a platform where we can spotlight joy, humor, and connection through art. It’s a privilege I don’t take lightly.
Twelve artists who've mastered the art of sign painting will showcase their talents in a very special exhibition this SAT.
Director Sara Dulkin wants to thank you in person! Come party with us on Saturday August 16th from 4-8 pm. 1741 W Chicago Ave.
Our shows are always free to attend and open to the public.
All work will be available online and on view for a month to follow. Pieces are expected to sell quickly so get here early!
