GoCM champions artists who demonstrate exceptional conceptual and technical skill through a wide range of approaches and materials. In the US, contemporary mosaics remain relatively unacknowledged as a fine art; therefore, GoCM offers a platform for highly respected and regarded artists to showcase their work in our state-of-the-art facility. GoCM is affiliated with The Chicago Mosaic School (CMS), the preeminent center for mosaic arts education in the Americas. The Gallery of Contemporary Mosaics will significantly transform how audiences experience mosaics, both within and beyond our walls.

Image: Gallery view
","type":"EventCategory","state":"published","slug":"education","created_at":"2018-10-22 18:54:41.470422","updated_at":"2018-10-22 18:54:41.470422","excerpt":"","is_timeless":true,"organization_id":1226,"highlighted":true,"opening_starts_at":null,"opening_ends_at":null,"searchable":"'1':122B,201B '15':14B '1st':22B '2':195B '2025':17B '20th':30B '21':16B '500':123B '7':128B 'access':126B 'acclaim':106B 'activ':221B 'addit':114B 'align':212B 'anniversari':31B 'art':4A,25B,35B,58B,76B 'artist':63B,66B,108B,137B,146B 'avail':10B,215B 'build':150B 'bundl':235B 'cart':228B 'celebr':28B 'chicago':88B,102B 'chosen':167B 'class':153B 'close':95B,141B,206B 'cms':18B,64B 'complet':6B 'conduct':80B 'confirm':163B 'day':130B,157B,181B,188B,197B,203B 'detail':7B,90B 'discuss':110B 'educ':59B,78B 'email':164B 'engag':61B 'europ':42B 'event':132B 'exhibit':86B,92B 'expert':73B 'first':1A 'full':129B,187B,202B 'futur':55B 'galleri':91B 'get':124B 'half':180B,196B 'half-day':179B 'host':20B 'import':174B 'includ':113B 'info@chicagomosaicschool.org':162B 'inform':175B 'intern':2A,23B,62B 'intersect':43B,119B 'kind':39B 'la':227B 'leader':70B 'lectur':83B,112B,140B 'look':205B 'may':192B 'mosaic':3A,24B,57B,75B,100B 'one':200B,234B 'open':93B 'outsid':40B 'packag':120B,236B 'panel':139B 'pick':193B 'pleas':158B,204B 'present':84B 'public':99B,109B 'purchas':116B,225B,232B 'recept':96B,136B,142B 'remain':32B 'renown':72B 'respond':159B 'round':50B 'round-tabl':49B 'run':104B 'schedul':9B,154B,209B 'school':36B 'secur':171B 'septemb':13B 'serv':46B 'sever':178B 'shape':53B 'short':81B 'showcas':98B 'spot':173B 'symposium':5A,26B,44B 'tabl':51B 'therefor':190B 'tour':97B,134B 'two':194B 'visit':65B,107B,145B 'walk':133B 'welcom':135B 'well':184B 'workshop':82B,103B,138B,147B,168B,182B,189B,198B,219B","thumbnail":"https://res.cloudinary.com/dfafo598z/image/upload/v1762971123/yf0kwly8e57vjhsp9mef.jpg","calendar":null,"carousel":false,"event_body":"
Complete details and schedule available here

From September 15 to 21, 2025, CMS will host the 1st International Mosaic Arts Symposium to celebrate their 20th anniversary, remaining the only art school of its kind outside of Europe.

Intersections Symposium will serve as a round-table for shaping the future of Mosaic Arts education and engaging international artists.
